The Alachua County Democrats with Disabilities Caucus was formed in January 2006.
The purpose of the caucus is to:
- Strengthen participation within the party
- Advocate on issues affecting people with disabilities and their families
- Support and recruit candidates who take a stand promoting equal opportunity, access, and full compliance with the ADA
- Promote education awareness and self sufficiency (especially employment) for persons with disabilities
- Encourage registration, voting, and full involvement of Democrats with disabilities in local, state and national elections (including running for office).
Meeting Times
The Caucus meets at the Alachua County Democratic Party Headquarters (901 NW 8th Ave., Suite A-3). See the CALENDAR for dates and times. ALL Democrats are encouraged to attend.

Caucus Report
January 2012
The Democrats with Disabilities Caucus will meet on 1/17 at 6pm at the Democratic HQ. We will be setting the agenda and goals for 2012, some of which will likely include: proclamations, tabling, a library display and much more. Anybody with or without a disability is welcome to join us.
