19th Annual Lawton Chiles Weekend
Dear Friends,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Alachua County Democratic Party Fundraising and Development site. For more than 18 years, a dedicated team of volunteers has been working tirelessly to present the Lawton Chiles Gala to the Alachua County community.
This year, we decided to expand opportunities for participation with the Lawton Chiles Weekend to include The Democratic Party Inaugural Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Ironwood Golf Course and the Lawton Chiles Dinner-Dance on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Wyndham Garden Hotel. Again, in an effort to be more inclusive with cost options and participation, we will host an Event at First-Magnitude Brewery in collaboration with the Young Democrats.
Funds raised from the Lawton Chiles Weekend and the First Magnitude Event will be earmarked for Operations: maintaining the Democratic Party Office and electing Democratic Candidates to public office. With our theme, Unite Alachua County! We forge ahead to bring all like-minded folk under the big tent. Much like our spectacular Lawton Chiles Gala, the Alachua County Democratic Party is making remarkable strides to unite and work for the betterment of our party.
